Only a pair of skates – but you can hire them if you haven’t got your own. Our skates range from baby size 5 up to adult size 14. We also have twin blade “bob skates” available for those not big enough to fit junior size 5.
Sessions are 1.5 hours each.
It’s chilly so we advise you wear a couple of layers. Make sure you are comfortable and covered up.
We also recommend gloves and a spare pair of socks for comfort – don’t worry if you haven’t brought them, we sell them both at our Receptions.
We have a number of free lockers in the Ice Arena – £1.00 coin/trolley token operated (coin/token returnable).
Ice skating is perfect for any age. It’s great for tiny tots or speed skating grannies! Don’t forget, under 3’s skate for free!
Children under the age of 5 years of age must be accompanied on the ice rink at all times by an adult (aged over 16 years of age). Children under 10 years of age should be accompanied in the arena by an adult (aged over 16 years of age) at all times.
Don’t worry a lot of people who visit us have never been ice skating before and learning is half the fun! We have friendly staff on hand to make sure you’re safe and we have penguin and snowmen stability aids available for hire at £3.65 for 30 minutes.
However, if you wanted some extra tuition, we offer Learn to Skate courses for all ages and abilities as well as Private Lessons with our resident Ice Coaches.
There is a dedicated weekly SNAPS/Disability skating session for disabled users and their families which takes place every Friday 9.30am–10.30am. However, disabled users are not restricted to this session alone.
The Ice Arena is accessible for disabled/wheelchair users (with their appropriate carer/support present) and our friendly staff are on hand to help you onto/off the ice if needed.
