Over 200 children, parents and carers attended the Christmas HAF Celebration party at Billingham Forum Ice Arena. Stockton Care Home residents have been getting into the festive spirit as they visited Billingham Forum and were treated to a Christmas themed performance from ARCulele a group of local ukulele players who hold weekly ukulele sessions at Arc, Stockton.
Stockton school children were definitely put in the festive mood when 240 primary school pupils from 10 schools attended the Stockton Festival of Ice at Billingham Forum Ice Arena. Pupils from St Joseph’s Billingham, Norton Primary School, Harewood Primary Schools St Bedes, St Marks’s, St Gregorys, Roseberry Primary School, Oakdene Primary School, Bewley Primary School and St Joseph’s Norton had exclusive use of the ice, so they were able to tackle the ice and improve their skating skills.
One of Billingham Forum’s best figure skaters over the past few years is Annalise Jones, and this talented teenager is now intending to pass on her love for her sport as she is delighted to have successfully passed her coaching examinations and will now be one of the resident Ice Professionals at Billingham Forum.
As part of Tees Actives 20th birthday celebrations local charities and organisations were invited to nominate themselves to enter a draw which would give them an opportunity to win exclusive use of Billingham Forum Ice Arena for their service users.
June is Pride month, a month dedicated to celebrating acceptance, equality and diversity as well as recognising the triumphs and struggles of the LGBTQIA+ community. This year, we supersized our celebrations and held a Pride on Ice party at Billingham Forum Ice Arena on Saturday 22nd June.
