Talented figure skater Elliot Thompson has followed up his silver medal at the British Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield by pitting his figure skills against some of the best figure skaters in Europe

Elliot a member of Tees Active Sports Academy has been selected by National Ice Skating Association to compete in 2 international figure skating events in an attempt to gain the qualifying scores which will enable this talented teenager to compete at the World Junior Championships.

Elliot is currently in Belgrade, Serbia competing in the Skate Helena competition and he will have need of his passport again when in travels to Ljubljana, Slovenia to compete in the Dragon Trophy in early February.

Elliot said “Competing in Serbia and Slovenia on an international stage is a fantastic opportunity for me and I will be giving my all to deliver some great performances. I have been training hard which I am now seeing the results of, after that I will have to have my fingers crossed for a possible World Junior spot.”
