We are open 7 days a week for public skating, figure skating, ice hockey training and games, skating lessons, private hires and parties.

For Simply Skate public skating sessions, all you need to do is turn up and pay on arrival at reception. Special events and monthly UV parties can be booked online or at reception in advance. For figure skating, skating lessons, private hires and pre-booked birthday parties you are required to book and pay in advance.

Only a pair of skates – but you can hire them if you haven’t got your own. Our skates range from baby size 5 up to adult size 14. We also have twin blade “bob skates” available for those not big enough to fit junior size 5.
Sessions are 1.5 hours each.
The family ticket allows four people (2 adults, 2 children or 1 adult, 3 children) to skate at any Simply Skate or Family Freeze sessions. And even better… All family tickets include skate hire.
It’s chilly so we advise you wear a couple of layers. Make sure you are comfortable and covered up.
We have a number of free lockers in the Ice Arena – £1.00 coin/trolley token operated (coin/token returnable).
Ice skating is perfect for any age. It’s great for tiny tots or speed skating grannies! Don’t forget, under 3’s skate for free!
Children under the age of 5 years of age must be accompanied on the ice rink at all times by an adult (aged over 16 years of age). Children under 10 years of age should be accompanied in the Ice Arena by an adult (aged over 16 years of age) at all times.
Don’t worry a lot of people who visit us have never been ice skating before and learning is half the fun! We have friendly staff on hand to make sure you’re safe and we have penguin and snowmen stability aids available for hire for a set price for 30 minute slots.
However, if you wanted some extra tuition, we offer Learn to Skate courses for all ages and abilities as well as private lessons with our experienced ice coaches.
There is a dedicated weekly SNAPS/Disability skating session for disabled users and their families which takes place every Friday morning 9.30am–10.30am. However, disabled users are not restricted to this session alone.
The Ice Arena is accessible for disabled/wheelchair users (with their appropriate carer/support present) and our friendly staff are on hand to help you onto/off the ice if needed.

Cook’s Café is situated in the atrium at the Billingham Forum, it serves a range of hot and cold food, including sandwiches, snacks, hot dishes and salads as well as hot and cold drinks.
They take pride in serving freshly produced food which is locally sourced where possible and look forward to seeing you soon!
We also have a number of sweets, snacks and hot/cold drinks vending machines in the Ice Arena and in the atrium.

Billingham Forum is the home of Billingham Stars who play in the Northern section of the English National Ice Hockey League first division.
Billingham Buccaneers, Cleveland Comets and Billingham Junior Stars Ice Hockey Club also train and play on our rink too.

Billingham Forum Ice Hockey School is suitable for those under 15 years of age and have basic skating skills. Sessions are taken by the Billingham Ice Hockey Club coaches, who will help develop you in the skills of the game!
